The Story Behind Melo
The story behind the Melo name is simple yet personal. The meaning of our founder's name is "pearl." We were drawn to the pearl’s symbolism and its connection to our purpose.
The journey of a pearl starts when an irritant enters the hard exterior of the oyster's shell. A formation process begins, and layer by layer a pearl takes shape. The original irritant eventually becomes a thing of beauty. Disruption becomes a catalyst for development.
Leadership formation follows a similar path.
- The leader is confronted with an "irritant" - perhaps in the form of personal discontentment, changes at home or work, a tension on the team, a failed goal or simply a desire for more.
